The funkiest way to support Remembrance Sunday this year.

We decided that we wanted to do a little more than buying a poppy this year. The Royal British Legion does such important work that we thought it might be nice to support them by selling our very own take on the Poppy.

Our poppies are £1 each with 50p of that going to the Royal British Legion. Regardless of how many you decide to purchase the postage is the same.

This little chap has a mission and has chosen to accept it.

He is carrying with him a Birthday message to a someone special. I can’t say who it is incase it hasn’t been given to them yet but when his wife asked if we could create a little golfer for her husband we were quick to take on the challenge.

Smiles are guaranteed to break out in North Essex sometime today.

Our latest newsletter just got even funkier

We aren’t too clever with technology but couldn’t resist trying out a QR code. (That’s what that black and white thing above is called)

What are they? Well if you have a smartphone you can download an app that works like a camera (we use QRReader, which is free) and when you point it at the box above it will whisk you away to the page on the internet where our latest newsletter is saved so that you can read it on your phone.

It’s all very funky and we love it – why not have a go and see what you think.

Spexy Beast Alan Carr

We love Alan Carr and got all excited when we found out that he was going to be doing a gig near us……until we found out it was sold out. Hurumph!!

Not being able to go didn’t stop us from thanking him for making us laugh by delivering his very own Mini Me to the dressing room.

When we looked at Twitter and our inbox the next morning we saw this……….

a tweet and picture from the man himself. There couldn’t have been a better start to the day.

The Spexy Beast himself

Alan Carr has 1.2 million followers on Twitter and during the first few hours of the tweet going out 67,000 of them had looked at the picture and emails and orders were starting to appear in the inbox. We were over the moon.

We had a quick look at the total before writing this post and the total has gone up to 90,088 so we think it must be time for a little celebratory glass of wine.

The thought of it possibly hitting 100,000 gives us butterflies.

update:  have crept up to 122,253 views gulp!

Snow White table centre

This time last week we were putting the finishing touches to a set of gorgeous Disney Character table centres and a HUGE Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

To say they were super cute and totally gorgeous would be an understatement (not that we are at all biased) but don’t take our word for it, here is the album of pics that are up on our Facebook page.

Would love to know what you think with a comment here or on Facebook.

Which table would you prefer to sit on?

Say ‘Hello’ to Donald

In a couple of weeks we will be making all sorts of characters to decorate a Disney themed wedding and we can’t wait!

Donald Duck will be sat on top of one of the 10 table centre pedestals that will be looking down on the guests and making sure that they have a great time.  Whilst Mickey and Minnie will be on guard at the cake table.

It really is going to look magical and we can’t wait to show you some of the pictures.

If you were going to use balloon characters or sculptures as table centres at an event what theme would you have?

We have a real soft spot for Harry Potter so couldn’t resist making something a little bit special to celebrate the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

We give you our Balloon version of the Golden Snitch.

Want one? Know someone who would? They are for sale here if so.

The cogs are whirring so there could well be a Harry himself appearing soon. You never know 🙂
